- Hola and welcome to my blog. My name is Brent and I am an atmospheric scientist, professor, and rock climber. My research focuses on large scale atmospheric dynamics and short-term climate variability. Living in the deep South, I spend most of my time sport climbing on the steep sandstone cliffs around Chattanooga and at the Red River Gorge in Kentucky. I also love to travel and climb with my wife and best friend, experiencing new cultures and new rock throughout the world.
